Developers at Colonnade BridgePort have specifically situated their latest development, located at 1960 Scott Street, to provide residences with simple and easy access to all areas of the city. The building will be located just a few short steps from the Westboro bus station which has been designated to be converted into a train stop for Ottawa’s Light Rail Transit (LRT) project. Aside from easy access to public transportation, 1960 Scott will also boast multi-use pathways along the Sir John A Macdonald ensuring that no matter how you commute to work or your favorite restaurant, there will be efficient and simple means to do so. The proposed design calls for a 22 story mixed-use building featuring both residential units and retail shops located in the lower levels. The rich architectural features, such as periodic recesses in the facade and a mix use of materials and colours will evoke a pleasant view from the streetscape while perfectly complimenting existing buildings in the neighborhood.
